In CPSA250, I learned that time management is very important to getting things done in an effective manner. My strength in time management tends to be that I turn in work on time by the deadline, my weakness and time management is that I take too many breaks and get distracted easily. I used the Pomodoro method (“The Science Behind the Pomodoro Technique”), but instead of using time as a measurement of progress (a 25 minute block with a 5 minute break), I based it off of tasks. I did a task I could finish in about half an hour, after finishing the task, I did a stretch break. This method works for me and I was able to be more productive this way. Getting rid of distractions was another way to improve productivity. Just by turning my phone facing down I was able to focus more easily without notifications popping up. In the future I might try the same technique again for other classes and assignments.
